The Commonwealth Youth, Women’s and People’s Forums continued into their second day at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa.

The Youth Forum
"The 13th Commonwealth Youth Forum Declaration encapsulates our determination to navigate the challenges of today and build a resilient future for tomorrow. We call on all Commonwealth leaders, three organisations, and partners to join us in this endeavour, ensuring that the legacy of the Year of Youth continues to inspire and empower generations to come."
So said the powerfully-worded Commonwealth Youth Declaration, which concluded the deliberations of more than 300 youth leaders. Their declaration places young people at the heart of decision-making for the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
The Youth Forum Closing Ceremony began with mesmerising sounds from the Commonwealth Music Relay, uniting voices from across the globe.
The Youth Forum then welcomed the newly elected members of the Commonwealth Youth Council.
This is what Joshua Opey, Chairperson of the Commonwealth Youth Council had to say:
“I look forward to working with all stakeholders to bring a renewed commitment to meaningful youth engagement and deliver tangible solutions for 1.5 billion young people across the Commonwealth. We need immediate action on youth involvement at all levels to guarantee prosperity. The CYC will work relentlessly to ensure young people are engaged and involved as we strive for a resilient common future.”
As the day drew to a close, fourteen youth networks paid tribute to the Commonwealth Secretary-General for her service to the 1.5 billion young people in the Commonwealth.
The Women's Forum

"No woman left behind" was the message from the Commonwealth Women's Forum. The forum gave notice that a report will be presented to Commonwealth leaders this week to urge stronger action on transforming the status of women in government, business and society.
Tuvaluan Prime Minister Feleti Penitala Teo drew attention to the need to engage men and boys in the fight for gender equality.
“Men must be part of the conversation, not just as advocates but as active participants in dismantling the barriers faced by women. This is how we build a society that benefits everyone.”

Look out for the Climate Breakfast
It's official name is CHOGM Climate Breakfast: Building Consensus for Climate Finance Targets in the Commonwealth. The event is expected to draw participation from Heads of State, Foreign Minsters, Environmental Ministers and climate NGOs, among others.
