A new programme of action for Commonwealth LDCs: Progress, challenges and priorities

Event date: 23 February 2022, 11:00 - 12:00
LDC Event

The Commonwealth Secretariat is formally launching a new digitised report on “A new programme of action for Commonwealth Least Developed Countries: Progress, challenges and priorities”.

The report takes stock of the progress made and challenges encountered by Commonwealth least developed countries (LDCs) during implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action (IPoA) from 2011 to 2020, and proposes a 10-point plan of action highlighting priorities for these countries to improve their trade and development prospects.

This report aims to support Commonwealth LDCs with their preparations for the United Nations LDC5 conference, which is set to take place in Doha, Qatar, during the course of 2022.

We very much hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an informative discussion about the lessons learned from the IPoA and our LDC members’ priorities for a new programme of action.
