Held alongside the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), the Commonwealth Youth Forum is being organised in partnership with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

The Forum will bring together 300 youth delegates nominated by Commonwealth governments, youth networks and accredited organisations. They will be joined by youth ministers, senior officials, youth development practitioners and development partners.
Under the theme Investing in Youth Agency > Co-Creating Pathways Towards Shared Prosperity, the forum will explore how young people can contribute as equal partners in building a resilient Commonwealth. Its tagline, Strengthened Youth Agency, Shared Prosperity, emphasises the importance of equipping young people with the opportunities, skills and networks they need to respond to sustainable development challenges in their communities.

Planning and coordination are led by an International Taskforce of 23 young leaders from across the Commonwealth. The Taskforce is co-chaired by Neema Sheikh Abdikadir Abdullahi, Vice Chairperson for Inclusion and Engagement at the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC), and Donte Walter, a youth representative from Antigua and Barbuda.
The taskforce is working closely with the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth Youth Council, and a local working group of youth organisation representatives to deliver on the forum.
Meet the Taskforce members
Over three days, participants will discuss key issues affecting young people and consider how their voices, ideas and contributions can be more fully reflected in sustainable development.
Their discussions will inform a set of recommendations, which youth leaders will present to Commonwealth leaders. This will give young people a direct opportunity to contribute to discussions at the highest level of Commonwealth decision-making.
Through plenaries, workshops and breakout sessions, young leaders will engage with development practitioners, government agencies responsible for youth, and international and multilateral partners.
