Commonwealth Peace Prize
The Commonwealth Peace Prize is awarded to a distinguished peacebuilder with a strong track record of faith-based engagement in conflict resolution, promotion of social cohesion and sustainable peace.
It is a multi-phase collaboration between the Khalili Foundation and the Commonwealth Secretariat to support and amplify peacebuilding initiatives across the 56 member countries.
The joint winners of the first Commonwealth Peace Prize are Rev Dr James Movel Wuye and Imam Dr Muhammad Nurayn Ashafa, two religious leaders who founded the Interfaith Mediation Centre in Nigeria.
Their work has been recognised internationally as an inspiring showcase of the power of forgiveness and collaboration in conflict resolution. They were awarded £50,000 to expand their ongoing work.

Peace Talks Series
The Peace Talks series aims to promote peace-building and conflict resolution across generations of Commonwealth citizens. The talks will feature Commonwealth Peace Fellows, a cadre of experienced peace-builders who will provide mentorship and support to young leaders.
The online events, which will be held monthly until December 2025, provide a space to listen, learn and be inspired by the success stories of fostering peace.

Participants will also reflect on approaches to countering violent extremism, fostering social cohesion and resolving conflicts, especially important during a time of heightened global tensions.
The Peace Talk series is being hosted in partnership with the Khalili Foundation, the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network.

Commonwealth Peace Fellowship
Following the inaugural Commonwealth Peace Prize ceremony, the Commonwealth Peace Fellowship was designed to support young peacebuilders by leveraging intergenerational partnerships and mentorship.
The Commonwealth Peace Fellows are a group of distinguished peacebuilders who were selected to serve as mentors to a cohort of young people seeking to make a positive difference in the world.
Among the newly-established cohort of Peace Fellows are leaders who have contributed to a definitive end to conflict, building lasting peace or led initiatives for meaningful and positive change.
