The inaugural Commonwealth Business Summit (CBS) was hosted by the Government of the Republic of Namibia and took place in Windhoek, Namibia from 18–20 June 2025, on the sidelines of the 2025 Commonwealth Trade Ministers Meeting (CTMM).

This landmark event brought together business leaders, policymakers and trade experts from across the Commonwealth to explore investment opportunities, digital transformation and the strengthening of supply chains.

The summit aimed to bridge the gap between policy and business, fostering collaboration and driving sustainable economic growth across the Commonwealth.

Key themes

The 2025 Commonwealth Business Summit focused on:

  • Enhancing Intra-Commonwealth trade: Strengthening trade ties to reach the £2 trillion target by 2030.
  • Digital transformation and innovation: Showcasing digital solutions to enhance business connectivity.
  • Green trade and sustainable energy transition: Promoting green business practices and sustainable growth.
  • Public-private sector collaboration: Strengthening cooperation between governments and businesses to align policies with commercial priorities.
  • Supporting SMEs and regional integration: Fostering collaboration across Commonwealth regions and empowering SMEs.
