The Caribbean is one of the most climate-vulnerable and disaster-prone regions. The region’s vulnerability stems from its geography, topography and several socio-economic factors. Despite these challenges, Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the Caribbean have committed to ambitious Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement, covering renewable energy transitions, ecosystem protection, coastal resilience, and climate-resilient infrastructure.

The Commonwealth Secretariat is hosting a Commonwealth Election Professionals (CEP) training event for the Commonwealth Caribbean & Americas region in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 20–24 April 2026.

Health Ministers and senior officials from across the Commonwealth will convene in Geneva for the inaugural Commonwealth Health Coordination Forum (CHCF), held ahead of the 79th World Health Assembly. Responding to the findings of the Lancet Oncology Commission on Cancer in the Commonwealth, CHCF will shape the Commonwealth's collective cancer agenda for years to come.
