The following statement was issued today by the Commonwealth Secretariat on the postponement of the 2026 Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work Ceremony in London.
In light of ongoing developments in the Middle East, the Commonwealth Secretariat has decided to postpone the 2026 Commonwealth Youth Awards ceremony, which was due to take place in London on 11 March 2026. The decision has been taken with the safety and well-being of award finalists in mind, who were scheduled to travel to London from different parts of the Commonwealth. A new date for the ceremony will be announced in due course.
Our commitment to honouring and celebrating this year’s remarkable awardees remains unwavering. Their achievements inspire us all.
