The 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting officially opened today in Apia, Samoa.

Leaders met at the Opening Ceremony under the theme: ‘One Resilient Future: Transforming our Common Wealth’.
The Commonwealth Secretary-General, the Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC, highlighted the importance of resilience in shaping a stronger Commonwealth.
This was followed by remarks from the outgoing Chair-in-Office President of Rwanda, His Excellency, Paul Kagame.
His Majesty The King, presented his vision for the Commonwealth family.
