Young musicians have been busy composing short melodies reflecting Commonwealth values.

Four composers, aged 13 to 18, were selected by Commonwealth Resounds, an accredited organisation which promotes musical initiatives in member countries. The youngsters produced 15-20 second fanfares based on the principals of the Commonwealth Charter.

The short pieces have been shared with the Commonwealth@70 Committee and Commonwealth Secretariat with one to be selected to mark the association’s 70th anniversary on April 26.

The chosen piece will be shared with Commonwealth high commissions and governments and played at Commonwealth@70 events.
