As democratic institutions face growing pressures around the world, the Commonwealth Secretariat will host a Marlborough House Dialogue on Pathways to Democratic Resilience in London on 18 June 2026.
Bringing together policymakers, practitioners and partners, the dialogue will explore practical ways to strengthen democratic governance, uphold the rule of law, promote good governance and support inclusive political participation. It will focus on how member countries can build more effective, responsive and inclusive institutions that earn and maintain public trust.
The discussions will help guide the Commonwealth Secretariat’s work on democratic resilience and inform preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda.
The dialogue is being organised in partnership with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Westminster Foundation for Democracy and the Commonwealth Local Government Forum.
