CommonTies is a new programme for young citizens of the Commonwealth aged 18- 29, who are temporarily based in UK for study or work, and who would like to learn more about the Commonwealth family.
The Commonwealth Secretariat's Youth Programme works to engage and support youth leaders from across the Commonwealth. CommonTies is aimed at young citizens of the Commonwealth aged 18- 29, who are temporarily based in UK for study or work.
At this launch event, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the work of the Commonwealth Secretariat, and to connect with other young people with similar interests and professional aspirations.
They will also meet and hear from:
- Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC, the new Commonwealth Secretary-General
- Dr Sue Onslow, Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies
Attendees will participate in discussion groups with Commonwealth Secretariat staff working in Rule of Law, Oceans and Natural Resources, Gender, Human Rights, Education and Youth Development.
