Commonwealth Caribbean Cyber Fellows Inaugural Meeting in Trinidad

Event date: 21 January 2025, 9:00 - 22 January 2025, 17:00 (AST Atlantic Standard Time)

Fifteen cyber experts from across the Caribbean will gather in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, on 21–22 January 2025, for the inaugural meeting of the Commonwealth Caribbean Cyber Fellowship.

Announced last year, the Commonwealth Caribbean Cyber Fellowship brings together experts from across the Caribbean – many of whom might not usually collaborate – to co-create solutions that help safeguard the region and its people from escalating cyber threats.

Over the two days, experts will share expertise and experiences on a range of critical issues, with a focus on enhancing cyber policies, institutions and regional co-operation.

Supported by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the fellowship is designed to support the delivery of the Commonwealth Cyber Declaration.

Agreed by Commonwealth countries in 2018, the declaration promotes a safe and prosperous cyberspace for the 2.7 billion citizens of the Commonwealth.
