Prior to joining the Commonwealth, Ms Baumann was Chief Operating Officer of the World Energy Council, where she led global operations across a 90-country network and worked with governments, institutions, business leaders and civil society to strengthen collaboration on energy transition, justice and sustainability. Her work included supporting high-level ministerial engagement, overseeing major leadership convenings, organisational transformation, governance and risk, financial performance and people functions in a complex international environment.
Ms Baumann has also held senior roles at Nominet and the International Chamber of Commerce UK, where she worked on broad public policy issues including trade and investment, digital trust, stakeholder engagement and institutional performance. She is a Lay Member of Council at Lancaster University. Her career has focused on strengthening accountable, inclusive and high-performing organisations that deliver practical value for members, partners and communities.
