Commonwealth Day 2022 was celebrated on Monday 14 March 2022, with a service held at Westminster Abbey. See highlights below and view our summary and photo gallery here.

The theme for Commonwealth Day 2022 centred around the theme for the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting – 'Delivering a Common Future' – which highlights how the 54 member countries in the Commonwealth family are ‘innovating, connecting and transforming’ to help achieve goals like fighting climate change, promoting good governance and boosting trade.

Given that 2022 is Her Majesty The Queen’s Jubilee Year, there was also a special focus this year on the role service plays in the lives of people and communities across the Commonwealth. Read Her Majesty The Queen’s Commonwealth Day message here

Schedule: Monday 14 March

Celebration for Commonwealth Day, a special service for Commonwealth Day celebrating the Queen's platinum jubilee, was broadcast live from Westminster Abbey on BBC One.

If you are outside of the UK, or if you missed the live broadcast, the service will be available to watch on the BBC's YouTube channel and BBC iPlayer.
