Outcomes from the forum will inform discussions among Commonwealth leaders on promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment – helping to ensure that women’s voices are represented at the highest levels of decision-making.

Programme

The programme will feature keynote addresses, plenary sessions and parallel workshops focused on five priority areas:

  • Women in leadership
  • Women’s economic empowerment
  • Gender and climate change
  • Ending violence against women and girls
  • Accountability on gender equality commitments

The 2026 Women’s Forum is being organised by the Commonwealth Secretariat in partnership with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

Set up in 2015, the Commonwealth Women’s Forum is one of the four official stakeholder meetings held alongside the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, together with the Commonwealth Business Forum, Youth Forum and People’s Forum.
