At a workshop in Botswana in June 2019, the Secretariat helped Mozambique learn about how to better manage its education system.

Natural resources
At a workshop in Accra, Ghana, the Commonwealth helped Mozambique learn about how best to run deep-sea mining. Topics included how to manage finance and the legal situation.
Trade
In March 2018, in Durban, South Africa, the Secretariat helped Mozambique to improve connections with trading partners. This included looking at how to reduce the physical barriers to trade – for example, by improving infrastructure.
Blue Charter
Mozambique is a member of the Commonwealth Clean Ocean Alliance – the Blue Charter Action Group on tackling marine plastic pollution.
