The Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Rt Hon Helen Clark, today called on Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma at Commonwealth headquarters in London.
Ms Clark has long had a close association with the Commonwealth, having served for nine years as Prime Minister of New Zealand.
The UNDP Administrator and the Commonwealth Secretary-General discussed ways by which current work on development priorities and other shared objectives can be advanced further through closer cooperation and more regular consultation between UNDP and Commonwealth institutions.
