The Chair of the Commonwealth Observer Mission to South Africa, former Ghanaian foreign minister Nana Akufo-Addo, has called upon all South African registered voters to continue doing themselves, Africa, the Commonwealth and the world proud by going out to cast their vote on 7 May 2014.
In a statement issued in Pretoria ahead of the polls, Nana Akufo-Addo said: "As South Africa occupies a central place in the Commonwealth, Africa and the world, all eyes will be on you."
He added that: "A peaceful and credible election with integrity is the best tribute South Africa can offer to the memory of Nelson Mandela as you continue to consolidate your vibrant democracy."
