The Commonwealth Secretary-General, Hon Shirley Botchwey, is pleased to invite Commonwealth Accredited Organisations (AOs) to a welcome dialogue at Marlborough House, London.
Supported by three intergovernmental institutions — the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Commonwealth Foundation and the Commonwealth of Learning — the Commonwealth’s work is amplified by a powerful ecosystem of over 90 Commonwealth AOs.
These organisations are spread across five regions, working across professions and caused, and play a vital role in advancing the Commonwealth’s priorities.
AOs are diverse civil society, professional and voluntary bodies with a shared commitment to the Commonwealth Charter.
Objectives of the welcome dialogue
To share her vision for the Commonwealth with the larger Commonwealth ecosystem, and
To engage with this critical stakeholder group on this vision and their part in the Commonwealth’s fit-for-purpose future.
Format
The Secretary-General will welcome representatives from the current AOs and announce a further seven organisations who have joined the ecosystem since February.
