The Commonwealth Secretariat and SAS, a global leader in analytics, are launching a new initiative to unlock the transformative potential of AI and advanced analytics to drive progress and innovation across various sectors within Commonwealth countries.
With access to SAS Viya, college and university learners and educators will use a cloud platform on Microsoft Azure and 15 cutting-edge tools supporting visual analytics, open-source integration, model management, and more.
Learners and educators in Commonwealth countries will develop AI and analytics capabilities, have access to educational resources; and have opportunities to participate in international AI competitions to foster practical experience and global recognition, whilst promoting responsible and ethical use of AI and data analytics.
Speakers at the hybrid event at the Secretariat’s headquarters at Marlborough House or via the Zoom platform will share information about key features of this innovative offering.
The Commonwealth Secretary-General, Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC, leads the list of speakers for the launch. The Deputy Secretary-General, Dr Arjoon Suddhoo, will deliver closing remarks. Reggie Townsend (Vice President of Data Ethics) and Liz Moran (Director of Global Academic Programs and Certification), representatives from SAS, will present the initiative and its offerings.
