Hack the Planet Competition - Final Pitch Event

Event date: 14 October 2021, 12:00 - 15:00

Join us on 14th October at 12:00 BST for the final live event for Hack the Planet 2021.

Hack the Planet is a virtual ideas competition for people from Commonwealth nations. It aims to find innovative, impactful and scalable ideas that will tackle the threats linked to ocean degradation and the climate crisis.

On 14 October at 12pm BST the final live event for Hack the Planet 2021 will take place virtually.

Earlier this year, the first ever Hack the Planet competition was launched with over 80 teams submitting entries looking at some of the biggest environmental challenges of our time.

Six months later, teams have participated in a comprehensive training programme, with nearly 30 training events, and had the opportunity to hone the final pitches for their ideas.

At this event, final pitches will be made from the six teams who have been shortlisted as finalists for the competition. The pitches will be judged by a panel of live expert judges, and the winners will be announced.

The Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland Q.C., Secretary General of the Commonwealth will open the event and Dr Asha de Vos will provide a keynote address while the judges are deliberating.
