Health & Life Sciences Climate: Adaptation

Equipping Grenada's New Smart Academic Hospital with Modern Diagnostic and Clinical Technology

Project overview

Hope Vale Medical City's anchor asset, the new 250-bed Smart Academic Hospital, requires a full complement of modern medical equipment to deliver specialist and tertiary healthcare services onshore in Grenada for the first time. This opportunity covers the financing and supply of the hospital's diagnostic imaging, surgical, critical care, laboratory and clinical equipment, together with associated maintenance, training and lifecycle replacement. The equipment programme is being defined alongside the hospital's space programme and schematic design, with input from the project's academic and clinical partners, Mount Sinai Health System and St. George's University. Financing may be structured as debt, export credit, leasing or a managed equipment service, with equipment delivery phased to align with the construction and handover of the hospital.

Investment opportunity

Up to US$80 million of medical equipment financing is sought for the diagnostic, surgical and clinical assets required to equip the 250-bed Smart Academic Hospital at Hope Vale Medical City. The hospital will bring specialist and tertiary healthcare services onshore in Grenada, reducing reliance on costly overseas referrals. Investors can participate as lenders, lessors or technical partners supplying and financing equipment alongside development finance institutions.
