Health & Life Sciences Climate: Adaptation

Premium Specialist Care and VIP Services Delivered Onshore in the Eastern Caribbean

Project overview

The Premium Care and VIP Services Facility is a dedicated private-pay component of the new 250-bed Smart Academic Hospital at Hope Vale Medical City, Grenada's flagship healthcare programme under Project Polaris. It will provide premium inpatient accommodation, executive health and specialist services for private-pay patients, medical tourists, the Grenadian diaspora and insured clients from across the Eastern Caribbean who currently travel abroad for this level of care. Located within the anchor hospital, the facility will benefit from its clinical platform, climate-resilient infrastructure and academic partnerships with Mount Sinai Health System and St. George's University. The facility is planned as a public-private partnership, under which a private partner will invest in, fit out and operate the facility, generating revenue that supports the long-term sustainability of the wider hospital.

Investment opportunity

Approximately US$40 million of PPP equity is sought to develop and operate a Premium Care and VIP Services Facility within Hope Vale Medical City, alongside the new 250-bed Smart Academic Hospital. The facility will serve private-pay patients, medical tourists and regional clients seeking premium specialist care, drawing on the clinical and academic platform of the anchor hospital and its partners, Mount Sinai Health System and St. George's University. Investors can participate as equity partners and operators through a public-private partnership with the Government of Grenada.
