Commonwealth ministers have renewed their 'unequivocal and collective' support for Guyana in its territorial dispute with Venezuela.

The Commonwealth Ministerial Group on Guyana met at the United Nations to discuss the latest developments in the 60-year old dispute between the two countries.

Commonwealth ministers reaffirmed their support of Guyana’s claim to the disputed territory and said they appreciated the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General to try to resolve the matter.
