SargaCycle Project

Antigua and Barbuda Caribbean and Americas

Circular Economy & Waste Climate: Cross-cutting

Turning the Caribbean's Sargassum Challenge into a Circular Economy Opportunity

Project overview

SargaCycle transforms invasive sargassum seaweed into commercial products while protecting coastlines and supporting climate-resilient agriculture. The company intercepts sargassum offshore before it reaches beaches, processes the biomass and produces a proprietary biostimulant designed to improve crop resilience to drought and environmental stress. The business combines coastal protection services with export-focused agricultural products, creating a circular economy model that addresses both environmental challenges and commercial opportunities.

Investment opportunity

SargaCycle is seeking US$10 million in Series A investment to scale operations across Antigua and Barbuda, expand processing capacity, support field trials and accelerate commercial growth. The business has completed sea trials, validated its lead product and established relationships with prospective buyers in the UK, EU and US. Investors have the opportunity to support a scalable circular economy business with revenue streams spanning coastal protection services, agricultural biostimulants and future biomass-derived products.
