The Brave Bulls Food Cannery and Beverage Plant is an integrated, smart, clean and eco-friendly manufacturing project planned for Eenhana in Namibia’s Ohangwena Region. It will develop local capacity to process agricultural and fisheries inputs into value-added food and beverage products, supporting food security, import substitution and reduced dependence on imported processed foods. The project is designed to use green energy and resource-efficient technologies, including energy- and water-efficient production, waste reduction and recycling. Its contract manufacturing and packing model will allow Namibian entrepreneurs, farmers, cooperatives and small and medium-sized enterprises to produce and grow their own brands without the capital burden of building factories. By connecting local producers to processing and markets, the facility will strengthen domestic value chains, develop technical skills, create employment and retain more economic value in Namibia. Locating the project in rural Ohangwena will also decentralise industrial opportunity and support inclusive, sustainable regional development.
Project overview
Investment opportunity
The project offers investors an opportunity to participate in the development of an integrated food-processing and beverage-manufacturing platform serving Namibian producers, entrepreneurs and markets. Investment will help establish local processing capacity, support contract packing and private-label production, strengthen agricultural and fisheries value chains, and address demand for locally processed products. The project is being advanced with development support from the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN), which is funding an independent feasibility study through its Project Preparation Facility. Potential financing partners identified to date include DBN, Access Bank, Bank Windhoek, EOS Capital, Old Mutual Alternative Investments and Ashburton. Investors and strategic partners may participate through blended or concessional finance, project and working-capital debt, equity or quasi-equity, and technical or industrial partnerships. The opportunity combines commercial manufacturing potential with development impact through rural industrialisation, employment, SME brand development, import substitution and climate-conscious production. Brave Bulls has secured strategic Offtakers in retail and public sector. Detailed investment terms remain subject to feasibility, due diligence and financing negotiations.
