CASLE helps to form and develop professional bodies in its field and set standards for all specialisms in surveying, including: land and marine surveying, quantity surveying, estate management and land economy.

The Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA) is an Associated Organisation of the Commonwealth. CATA was established in 1978 by a decision of the Commonwealth Finance Ministers.
