Yes to Youth Goal: panel debate

Should there be a standalone Youth Goal in the post-2015 development framework?

Join the debate

We want to know your view. Do you agree that global policymakers should set a standalone Youth Goal when a successor to the Millennium Development Goals is agreed?

At the World Conference on Youth on 8 May 2014, Katherine Ellis, Youth Director for The Commonwealth, will discuss the issue with Alain Sibenaler, UNFPA Representative, and a host of other panellists.

Send your questions or views via Facebook or Twitter to #Yes2YouthGoal. A selection will be put to the speakers.

Panellists include:

  • Katherine Ellis, Director of Youth, Commonwealth Secretariat
  • Ahmed Adamu, Chairperson, Commonwealth Youth Council
  • Alain Sibenaler, UNFPA Representative in Sri Lanka
  • Hannah Smith, Representative of Restless Development
  • Nilanthi Sugathadasa, Additional Secretary (Youth Development) Ministry of Youth Affairs & Skills Development, Government of Sri Lanka

Time: 16:30-18:00 Colombo (12:00-13:30 London)
