Event: 2021 Commonwealth Youth Forum in Rwanda

As a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is necessary to postpone the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled to take place in Kigali, Rwanda on 22 – 27 June 2020.

The 26th CHOGM and associated events will be held in Kigali. The new date agreed with member countries will be the week of 21 June 2021.

The Commonwealth Youth Forum (CYF) helps young people:

  • build connections across countries
  • develop initiatives led by young people
  • have a voice in the future of the Commonwealth.

Participants will reflect on successes and challenges since the 2018 Commonwealth Youth Forum and plan ahead for the next 2 years.

To attend the forum you must:

• be a Commonwealth citizen between the ages of 18 and 29

• have experience in youth advocacy or development; and

• represent a youth-led body, youth organisation or a special interest group (indigenous young people, young disabled people, rural youth, etc.)

Apply now to attend the Commonwealth Youth Forum

The theme for the 2021 Commonwealth Youth Forum is ‘Taking Charge of Our Future’.
