Sustainable Economic Recovery Post-COVID: Committing to International Co-operation, Trade and Investment

Tuesday, 29 June 2021, 14h00 – 15h00 BST

International economic commitments can guide post-pandemic policies that seek to address challenges to sustainable natural resources management, as well as the global biodiversity and climate crises. In the language of the SDGs, international investment and trade governance can underpin the goals related to water management (SDG 6), sustainable production and consumption (SDG 12) and climate action (SDG 13), as well as marine and terrestrial biodiversity (SDG 14 and 15).

This webinar will discuss the findings of a recent study by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law. Using practical examples, the webinar will demonstrate how international economic law can help to ensure that countries can ‘build back greener’.
