We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Communications Officer to work within our Communications Division.
The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Commonwealth Secretariat’s strategic communications strategy, involving proactive media outreach and a range of public affairs activities.
To be considered, you must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as communications, journalism, media studies, international affairs or any other appropriate field. A master’s degree or similar post-graduate qualification in any relevant field would be desirable. We are looking for someone with at least 7 years of experience as a reporter or correspondent in a media organisation, and/or in an external communications role. Experience gained in covering political, parliamentary, social or economic issues or event management will be an advantage.
