Backlogs in the Civil Justice System

Dates: 08 to 10 June 2021

How is the Commonwealth addressing worsening backlogs in the civil justice system created by COVID-19?

In this series on the civil justice system, panellists will discuss the impact of backlogs in family law, on businesses, and on access to justice for matters which were deemed non-urgent during the pandemic. They will highlight how alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, such as mediation, could offer a potential solution, as well as use of technology or online courts in adjudication.
