A minute's silence was observed at the opening of the Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting in Glasgow

A minute's silence was observed at the opening of the Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting in Glasgow today, as a mark of respect for those who lost their lives on flight MH17.

Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma has already conveyed his condolences and deep sympathy to the families and friends of the many Commonwealth citizens who perished in this outrageous incident, and supports a full, credible and transparent investigation in line with international norms.
