Kamalesh Sharma addresses Rwandan students

Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma on 27 January 2012 addressed students, faculty and parents at the National University of Rwanda in Butare, telling them that their country has shown great commitment to the 54 member Commonwealth, since it joined the association in 2009.

Mr Sharma, who spoke after being awarded an honorary doctorate during the university's graduation ceremony, said that with membership in the Commonwealth, students and the people of Rwanda now have the opportunity to benefit from, and contribute to the vast network of knowledge, information and resources from the wider membership.
