Innocent Ninsiima
I joined leadership in 2004 during my education days in Uganda when I was elected as the President of Network for International Students. In 2007, I joined Never Again Rwanda – A youth organization that is fighting the genocide ideology in Rwanda. In 2008, I became a member of the Rwanda Youth Network and also became active in the Ministry of Youth. In 2010, I represented Rwanda in the Nkabom Youth Leadership Program which Rwanda hosted. After the success of Nkabom, I was nominated to represent Rwanda Youth in the Commonwealth officially becoming the first Rwanda Regional Youth Caucus Representative on the 28th of October 2010. Am also the Founder of Innovative Partners’ Rwanda (I.P.R), a Youth social enterprise that seeks youth friendly solutions to poverty eradication in the Great Lakes Region. In May 2011, I co-founded the Rwanda Debate Union, an organization that is promoting critical thought in the country through debates and dialogue promotion. Am also spear heading a number of youth initiatives in Rwanda that aim at youth empowerment. I am a debater and a member of the DebateWise, an international debate organization.
I had my early years of school in Uganda and Rwanda. Currently am in Law School at the National University of Rwanda. Addition to this, I have participated in training schemes by the Royal Commonwealth Society on leadership skills, human rights by Never Again Rwanda. I have also been trained in leadership and project management by Rwanda Youth Parliament (PAJER)
Ms Chalon Bagwaneza
I started my leadership during my details in high school. I headed several initiatives that aimed at health promotion and girl child education. I was also involved in several projects that aimed at preventing HIV mother – child transmission. Upon joining university, I became a member of the gender desk where I advocated to female friendly initiatives that would improve the number of girls finishing university. It is upon this background that I was nominated for the post of Deputy Regional Youth Caucus Representative – Rwanda and on the 28th of October I was appointed as the Deputy RYC.
Am pursuing a degree in International Relations from the Independent University of Kigali in Rwanda. I have been trained in several programs such as leadership and project management from different organizations in Rwanda.
